Neighborhoods
Short North Columbus is the High Street strip between Downtown and campus, known for galleries, patio dining, boutique retail, and the monthly Gallery Hop that still packs the sidewalks. It is one of the densest places in the 614 to stack a dinner, a drink, and a walk without moving the car, which is why date nights and visitor itineraries keep landing here even when hotel rooms sit downtown.
For things to do in Short North, start with Short North shops, then pair a meal from our best steaks list when a Short North room fits the night. Our cheap date night guide walks the same corridor on a budget, and the where to live guide explains who thrives on these blocks if you are deciding whether to rent above the galleries or just visit for Gallery Hop.
