Best Ice Skating Rinks in Columbus, Ohio

We ranked five places to skate in and around Columbus this winter using what each operator posts on its own website: season dates, public session hours, admission, rental rules and limits such as time caps or weather closures, all checked October 30 and 31. The ranking rewards rinks that run public sessions most reliably, then clear all-in pricing that includes skates, then setting. Outdoor rinks rank on how firmly their season is scheduled, since a natural rink depends on the weather. Most of the outdoor ice opens in late November, so dates here are the posted plans. We did not skate at these rinks for this update.

Its posted price table lists Noon Skate at $8, Public Skate at $10 and kids 5 and under at $4, with $5 skate rental, plus a Cheap Skate session at $6. Friday Night Meltdown costs $18 with rental included, and a Family of Four ticket covers admission and skates for $50. No reservation is needed, and the company is owned by JMAC, majority owner of the Blue Jackets.
