We ranked seven pub burgers in Columbus by reading each kitchen's own menu and website on October 30 and 31 for the beef, the build, the price and the hours. A pick qualifies when a bar or tavern menu describes its signature burger in detail, such as the cuts in the blend, the bun or the patty weight, and when the business is operating today. The ranking rewards that detail first, then value, including weekly burger deals and cheap late stacks, then the room around the plate. The list runs from an 1897 Downtown tavern to Polaris and Dublin kitchens. We did not eat these burgers for this update.
101 Craft Kitchen on Sawmill Road in Dublin is a chef-owned scratch kitchen, and its 101 Burger stacks Angus beef with bacon, American cheese, horseradish mayo, lettuce, pickles and tomato on a brioche bun for $16 on the dinner menu. The Dublin room serves lunch and dinner seven days, weekend brunch until 3 p.m. and happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. on weekdays. The same group runs Central Ohio rooms in Gahanna and Westerville plus kitchens in Mason, Carmel and Fishers.
