A D-5 liquor permit transfer for Cilantro Short North LLC is on the Columbus City Council agenda for October 5, 2026. Communication C0038-2026, received by the City Clerk as of Wednesday, September 30, lists the transfer to Cilantro Short North LLC at 1044 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43201, from SHORT NORTH BODEGA LLC, trade name SUNCO FOOD MART, at the same address, permit number 10020720-1.

A D-5 covers full on-premise liquor service. The filing keeps the license on the same Short North High Street parcel while changing the permittee from the Bodega / Sunco line to Cilantro Short North LLC. That is the kind of paperwork that often trails a kitchen already cooking in the room, or a rebrand that needs the liquor line under the new LLC before evening service expands.

Advertise date on the clerk packet is October 10, 2026, with a return date of October 15, 2026. That window is for notice and objection timing, not a promised first pour under the Cilantro permit line.

What the record settles and what it leaves open

The agenda names the receiving LLC, the street address, the prior permittee and trade name, and the permit class. It does not publish a menu, seating count, remodel schedule, or soft-open date. Until Cilantro Short North LLC posts its own hours and concept note, treat 1044 N. High as a liquor transfer in progress on a Short North storefront that already had a D-5 under a different operator.

Map the block on our Short North page, scan other paperwork under Openings, and keep dinner plans tied to what the dining room itself posts. Nearby High Street pacing still pairs with happy hour by neighborhood once a bar schedule is public.

Status: Permit filed. Wait for an owner update before you plan a full Cilantro night at the High Street address.
