A breakfast and brunch chain from Kentucky is about to serve its first plates in Central Ohio. Wild Eggs lists a Columbus-area restaurant at 5912 Old Hamilton Road on its location page, which says the room opens in early November at Hamilton Quarter, the mixed-use project on the city's northeast edge, under a Westerville mailing address. No exact date is posted yet.

The page already shows the hours the kitchen will keep. Weekday service starts at 6:30 in the morning and wraps at 2:30 in the afternoon, and on weekends the doors open at 7 and close at 3. It lists a phone line, 614-618-8100, along with links for online orders, a waitlist and catering. Expect the chain's scratch-kitchen daytime menu, built around Benedicts, omelets, stacks of pancakes and a brunch cocktail list.

The company opened its first restaurant in Louisville in 2007, according to its own history page, and has since spread through Kentucky and Indiana. In Ohio it has only two restaurants so far, both in Cincinnati, one downtown on East Fourth Street and one in Oakley, per its locations list. The Hamilton Quarter store would be the first one north of the Cincinnati area.

We will update the status when the doors open. Northeast-side diners already have weekend options on our brunch by neighborhood guide, more nearby on our Westerville page, and every new room we track in Openings.
