True Food Kitchen Closes Easton, Its Only Ohio Location
The wellness chain shut its Worth Avenue room on Oct. 4 as part of a Chapter 11 filing that closed 12 restaurants. Status: Closed.

True Food Kitchen is gone from Easton Town Center, and with it the brand has no Ohio address left. The Scottsdale, Arizona, company put out a press release on Monday, October 5, saying it and several affiliates had filed for Chapter 11 protection in the Southern District of Texas bankruptcy court. The same notice said a dozen of its restaurants had served guests for the final time the day before, Sunday, October 4.
The company did not name those 12 stores. Its own locations directory answers the Ohio question: on Thursday it showed 34 restaurants spread over 14 states, among them Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Texas, and not one in Ohio. That total lines up with the 34 the release says are still open. Columbus Business First first reported on October 5 that the Easton room was among the closures.
The restaurant sat at 4052 Worth Ave., near Nordstrom. Easton's own 2020 welcome post marked the October 2020 debut as the brand's first Ohio location, built around the anti-inflammatory eating ideas of co-founder Dr. Andrew Weil. The Easton menu leaned on noodle bowls, jackfruit lettuce wraps, salads and pressed juices, which made it one of the few places in the town center to build a meal around vegetables first.
The filing does not end the chain. The company says it will run a court-supervised sale to find a long-term owner, and it says HumanCo TFK IV has committed about $20 million in bankruptcy financing, pending a judge's approval. Any sale also needs the court's sign-off. Court filings are posted on a case site run by Stretto, and the release lists a toll-free line for questions.
The company also asked the court to keep certain guest programs running during the case, but every remaining True Food Kitchen is now out of state. This page gets an update if a new tenant files for the Worth Avenue space.
