Sitara Fine Indian Cuisine Opens on East Main Downtown
A new Indian restaurant and bar is serving lunch and dinner at 427 E. Main St. Status: Open.

Sitara Fine Indian Cuisine & Bar is serving guests at 427 E. Main St. downtown. On its company homepage, the kitchen posts the street address, a (614) 220-9390 phone line, and online ordering for pickup and delivery. The same page frames the room as a fine-dining and takeaway stop for Indian plates a few blocks from the Statehouse corridor.
Weekday service runs in two blocks: 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., then 4:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Saturday hours stretch from noon until 10 p.m., and Sunday from noon until 9 p.m. The menu lane called out on the site includes biryani, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, malai kofta, samosas, pakora, garlic naan, and mango lassi, with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and seafood dishes flagged in the restaurant's own schema text.
The owner site also names the delivery zone it is courting, a list that stretches from German Village and the Brewery District to Bexley, Italian Village, Victorian Village, Harrison West, Grandview Heights, and Milo-Grogan. A rewards program on the site awards points on online orders that can be cashed in for food, and the page pushes a phone app for repeat pickup customers.
The storefront is the longtime home of Indian Oven. Columbus Business First first reported that Sitara is the new tenant in that East Main space after Indian Oven left. Sitara's site does not narrate the handoff; it presents the restaurant as ready for walk-in dining, rewards signups, and app ordering.
Downtown already carries other recent food rooms a few blocks north. SAGE took over the old Rishi room on North Third Street earlier this fall. For more nearby, see the Downtown page, Columbus Commons, or browse other debuts in Openings.
This page will get a refresh if Sitara posts a formal grand-opening date, a patio note, or a change to the hours on the owner site.
