Grove City Curbside Leaf Pickup Runs Oct. 19 Through Dec. 18
Crews cover one of four areas each week and pass through every area twice, so leaves need to be at the curb by 7 a.m. that Monday.

Grove City started its fall leaf rounds on Monday, October 19. A city news flash posted that morning says the work continues into mid-December, and the printable leaf collection schedule on the city's Leaf Collection page spells out the weeks. The city is split into four areas, and crews visit each one twice. The last scheduled week is December 14 to 18.
The first pass covers Area 1 from October 19 to 23, Area 2 from October 26 to 30, Area 3 from November 2 to 6, and Area 4 from November 9 to 13. The second pass returns to Area 1 from November 16 to 20, then skips the week of Thanksgiving. Area 2 follows from November 30 to December 4, Area 3 from December 7 to 11, and Area 4 closes the season.
On the city map, Area 1 takes in most of Grove City east of Hoover Road, including the streets off Stringtown Road, Buckeye Parkway and Hawthorne Parkway. Area 4 is the northwest corner west of Broadway, around Demorest and Holt roads. Areas 2 and 3 split the middle of the city between Broadway and Hoover Road, with Area 2 also reaching southwest along Orders Road and Area 3 running south along Interstate 71. Look up your exact street on the city GIS map before you rake.
Piles go on the grass strip between the street and the sidewalk, or at the front edge of the lawn on streets with no sidewalk, by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your week. Crews may need all five days to finish an area, and the city says it cannot promise a day or time. Keep leaves out of the gutter and away from storm drains, ravines and streams, and do not park in front of a pile between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. that week. This program skips bagged leaves. Those go out with weekly yard waste pickup from Local Waste Services, which accepts bagged or containered leaves all year.
Two caveats come with the schedule. The same crews and trucks handle snow and ice, so an early winter could end leaf season before every area gets its second visit, and residents would then bag what is left. A missed pile can be reported to the Public Service Department at 614-277-1100, which keeps a revisit list but does not guarantee a second stop.
For Grove City households, the step to take this week is finding your area, since crews are already working Area 1. Our fall in Columbus guide has ideas for the weekends between rake days, and the Grove City page collects local news such as the BJ's Wholesale Club plan on Stringtown Road.
