Graeter's Opens a New Albany Scoop Shop
The Cincinnati ice cream maker's store page now lists a Forest Drive shop that held its soft opening October 13. Status: Open.
Graeter's Ice Cream is now scooping in New Albany. The Cincinnati company's store page lists a shop at 5065 Forest Drive, filed on its site under the name Smith's Mill, with a phone number, an email address and online ordering for pickup or delivery. A New Albany Chamber of Commerce listing posted for the shop billed Tuesday, October 13, as the soft opening of its newest location, with doors open from late morning into the evening in Suite 105.
Posted hours run from 11 in the morning until 10 at night Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday open an hour later. The store page links to local pickup ordering and to the chain's Sweet Rewards program, which it says earns points on in-store purchases and lets app users skip the line, and the company site describes its ice cream as made in small batches with what it calls the French Pot process.
Neither page says what the suite held before, how many seats the shop has or whether a grand opening event is planned after the soft opening. Other outlets have also reported an official opening date and a running count of central Ohio shops, but we have not seen either on a Graeter's page, so we are not repeating them here.
