Storytelling folk project Yaelokre, moved up from A&R to Newport Music Hall, plays Sunday, November 15, 2026, with Ben Caplan.
Yaelokre plays Newport Music Hall on Sunday, November 15, 2026, with Canadian folk singer Ben Caplan opening. The show was first booked at A&R Music Bar and moved to the larger Newport; tickets bought for A&R carry over with no exchange needed. The new room opens at 7:00 p.m., all ages.
Yaelokre is the folk storytelling project of Filipino-Icelandic artist Keath Ósk, and it took off in July 2024 when "Harpy Hare" went viral on TikTok and topped Spotify's global viral chart. The songs are set in an invented world called Meadowlark and follow a traveling band called The Lark, four masked characters all voiced by Ósk. Onstage, expect animal masks and Renaissance-style costumes.
Caplan, from Halifax, Nova Scotia, is a big-bearded, theatrical singer whose fifth album, The Flood, came out in 2025, so the opening set fits the same storybook mood.
