The contemporary jazz and soul band Copacetic plays the Debra James Tucker hosted Soul Sunday series at Natalie's Grandview on November 15, 2026.
Copacetic headlines the November edition of Soul Sunday, the series hosted by Columbus vocalist Debra James Tucker, on Charlie's Stage at Natalie's Grandview at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2026.
The band has spent close to ten years mixing contemporary jazz with gospel, soul, and smooth grooves. It started as a single gig between close friends that went well enough to keep going, and that history shows in loose, conversational improvising. Their name means all is well, which is roughly the mood they aim for.
Their second album, Collage, moves from the upbeat Better Days to the darker Exodus and the calm title track, and much of the set draws from that record. Soul Sunday leans toward a grown-up, sit-down crowd, so it suits a late dinner on King Avenue before the week starts.
