Scattrbrain, the full-band rock project from Atlanta rapper GRIP, plays Woodlands Tavern on December 2, 2026.
Wednesday, December 2, 2026, brings Scattrbrain to Woodlands for a 7:00 p.m. start, a midweek all-ages show with plenty of guitar noise.
The project is the full-band alter ego of GRIP, the Atlanta rapper once signed to Eminem's Shady Records. Rather than a hip-hop set with a live drummer, Scattrbrain trades the beats for post-punk, grunge, and hardcore, with GRIP fronting a loud band and writing about anxiety and self-doubt. The debut album, Scattrbrain and The Unwavering Self Doubt, set that tone.
The band has already opened for acts as different as Ecca Vandal, Portugal. The Man, and Manchester Orchestra, which tells you how wide the audience can be. For rap fans curious about the crossover, or rock fans who want something rawer than the usual weeknight bill, Woodlands is a close room to see it in.
