Big Noon FOX kick for the Illibuck trophy at Ohio Stadium. Conference opener energy with the usual campus traffic and clear-bag rules
Ohio State hosts Illinois on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at noon at Ohio Stadium in a FOX Big Noon window. The game is the Buckeyes' Big Ten opener and renews the Illibuck trophy series that Ohio State and Illinois have traded for decades.
Noon conference games still fill the Horseshoe and the surrounding neighborhoods. Expect full tailgate culture, gated streets, and longer walks from campus lots. Official athletics channels are the place for kickoff confirmation, TV details, and entry policy updates the week of the game.
Go if you want a true Big Ten Saturday rather than a nonconference tune-up. Arrive early, follow clear-bag rules, and give yourself a postgame buffer before any evening plans across town.
