The New Albany Symphony Orchestra hosts a sensory-friendly holiday concert with a visit from Santa at the McCoy Center on December 19, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.
The New Albany Symphony Orchestra plays Santa and the Symphony, part of its Sensory Friendly Series, at the McCoy Center for the Arts, 100 West Dublin-Granville Road in New Albany, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2026.
The concerts in this series are built for audiences who might struggle with a standard symphony performance: families with little kids who need to move, and people in the autism, dementia, and Alzheimer's communities. Programs never run longer than an hour, and getting up or making noise is expected rather than frowned upon.
This edition fills that hour with sleigh bells, classic carols, and holiday tunes, and Santa makes an appearance. NASO is a nonprofit community orchestra that mixes professional musicians with community players and students. The orchestra's full Holiday Spectacular follows that afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the same hall.
