Santa and the Symphony Sensory Friendly Concert at McCoy

Jazz trumpeter and singer Benny Benack joins the New Albany Symphony Orchestra and Chorus for the Holiday Spectacular at the McCoy Center, December 19 and 20, 2026.
The New Albany Symphony Orchestra and Chorus present their Holiday Spectacular at the McCoy Center for the Arts in New Albany at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, and Sunday, December 20, 2026. Both performances are matinees.
This year's guest is Benny Benack III, a jazz trumpeter and singer who has built a following for his swinging takes on standards and his old-school crooner style. Pairing him with a full orchestra and chorus gives the concert a big band holiday feel, with carols, nostalgic favorites, and audience sing-alongs worked into the program.
The Holiday Spectacular is the orchestra's hometown December tradition, drawing listeners from around central Ohio to the McCoy, a modern hall on the New Albany school campus. On Saturday, families with younger kids can pair it with the shorter sensory-friendly Santa concert that morning.
