Red Wanting Blue with Cousin Simple at Newport Music Hall

Red Wanting Blue play a hometown show at Newport Music Hall on Friday, November 20, 2026. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., the music starts at 8:00, and fellow Columbus band Cousin Simple opens.

Fronted by singer Scott Terry, Red Wanting Blue got its start at Ohio University in Athens in the 1990s and has been based in Columbus ever since. The band built its name the hard way, through years of relentless touring, and its heartland rock, built on Terry's big voice, has earned a loyal following across the Midwest.

Fans who want a closer look can buy a VIP Soundcheck Sit In upgrade to watch the band warm up before doors. Cousin Simple, another band with deep Columbus roots, makes it an all-local Friday night on North High Street, a week before Thanksgiving.
