Medium Build: The King of Having Fun Tour at Newport Music Hall

Medium Build plays Newport Music Hall on Monday, November 16, 2026, with Eden Joel opening. Newport's doors open at 7:00 p.m. on this all-ages bill. A dollar from every ticket goes to REVERB, the nonprofit that works on greener touring, through PLUS1.

Medium Build is Nick Carpenter, who grew up singing in church in Georgia, studied songwriting at Middle Tennessee State, then moved to Alaska in 2016 and began recording under this name. He released four albums in four years, and his songs filled out with big, earnest choruses as he went.

The breakout came in 2023 with "Friend for Life," a collaboration with X Ambassadors, followed by 2024's Country and the Marietta EP, which includes "Yoke" with his old classmate Julien Baker. He has toured with Tyler Childers, Lewis Capaldi and FINNEAS, and played Outside Lands and Austin City Limits. A Monday on High Street is a good chance to catch him as a headliner.
