Longtime Columbus jazz singer Kelly Delaveris, a regular guest of the Columbus Jazz Orchestra, sings a free Friday Happening Hour at Natalie's Grandview on November 13, 2026.
Kelly Delaveris sings a free Happening Hour on Charlie's Stage at Natalie's Grandview on Friday, November 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m.
Delaveris has been singing professionally since 1978. Her taste was set early by her father's records, big band vocalists and Sergio Mendes, and that mix of swing and bossa nova still shows in her choices. She has performed with everything from a duo to a full symphony and is a frequent guest with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra. Over the years she has opened for Sarah Vaughan, Bob James, Tito Puente, Tony Bennett, and comics Bob Newhart and Joan Rivers. Critics have singled out her rapid-fire phrasing, which turns lyrics into something close to an instrument line.
This is a chance to hear one of the city's most experienced jazz voices for the price of a tip. The kitchen and bar are open through the set.
