The City of Hilliard holds its Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 6, 2026, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., spread between Hilliard's Station Park at 4021 Main Street and the Historical Village at Weaver Park. The event is free.

Old Hilliard fills with horse-drawn carriage rides, stilt walkers and balloon twisters through the afternoon before the big tree in Station Park lights up after dark. A free trolley loops between the park, Main Street and the historical village so families do not have to walk the whole route in the cold.

At Weaver Park, the Hilliard Ohio Historical Society opens its decorated village buildings, with letters to Santa written alongside Mrs. Claus, face painting, a snow-globe photo spot and holiday music inside the old church. Parking is available at the Franklin County Fairgrounds and the Madison and Wayne street lots, with the trolley covering the distance. The Sunday timing makes it a calm way to end the first weekend of December.
