Gahanna's free Holiday Lights Celebration lights the Creekside District with a tree lighting, fireworks and family activities on Sunday, November 22, 2026.
Gahanna kicks off its holiday season on Sunday, November 22, 2026, with the Holiday Lights Celebration in the Creekside District. The free event runs from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m., and Nth Degree is the presenting sponsor.
Afternoon activities from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. spread along Mill Street and the creek: a trackless train, a giant walk-in snow globe, a petting zoo, a stage of holiday performers, face painting, a stilt walker, snow axe throwing and a silent disco for older kids and parents. Around 6:00 p.m., Santa arrives to light the city tree, followed by a fireworks show over the district.
After the countdown, Creekside Park glows with more than 300,000 lights. Because the celebration falls the Sunday before Thanksgiving, it is one of the earliest tree lightings in the suburbs, which makes it an easy family outing before holiday travel starts.
