Columbus jazz-funk collective fo/mo/deep plays its annual Black Friday show on Charlie's Stage at Natalie's on November 27, 2026.
fo/mo/deep play their yearly Black Friday show on Charlie's Stage at Natalie's Grandview on Friday, November 27, 2026, at 8:30 p.m. The night after Thanksgiving has become their standing date in this room.
The Columbus jazz, funk and fusion collective has released four CDs, and their grooves come from the experimental 1970s, when jazz, soul and funk overlapped. This lineup features Ron Holmes on electric and upright bass, Andre Scott on drums, Robert Mason on keyboards and Anthony Jackson on tenor sax.
The band has played clubs and festivals across the Midwest and beyond, including the Columbus Jazz and Rib Fest, Detroit's Jazz Cafe and South by Southwest, and has opened for Roy Ayers and Mavis Staples. A quartet with upright bass and tenor in the small room is a mellow alternative to the louder blues show on the Music Hall Stage the same night.
