New Orleans royalty comes to the Grandview edge on Friday, December 11, 2026, when Cyril Neville takes the stage at 7:00 p.m., in the middle of a short December Midwest swing that also hits the Kent Stage the night before and Ann Arbor the night after. The show is all ages.

Born in New Orleans in 1948, Neville is the youngest of the famous Neville brothers. He played percussion and sang with The Meters, was part of the Wild Tchoupitoulas Mardi Gras Indian recordings, and spent decades in the Neville Brothers, who won a Grammy in 1989 for the instrumental Healing Chant. Later he toured with Galactic and co-founded Royal Southern Brotherhood with Devon Allman in 2012.

His 2026 solo album, Don't Wait Til I'm Gone, keeps him writing new material, and earlier this fall he toured a Grateful Dead tribute set with his son Omari Neville and The Fuel. Expect deep New Orleans grooves and stories from more than 50 years on the bandstand.
