Convergence 2026 by Onyx Productions at Lincoln Theatre

Onyx Productions presents Convergence 2026 at the Lincoln Theatre on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The evening introduces a group of local Black male choreographers and gives each a share of the stage.

Executive director Gamal Brown and assistant director Brianna Rhodes built the show as a meeting point rather than one linear story. The choreographers draw from contemporary dance, hip-hop, Afro-futurism and activism, exploring identity, memory, resilience and freedom, and the pieces flow into one another so the night unfolds as a continuum of bodies, sound and rhythm.

The program thanks the Lincoln Theatre Dance Initiative, Thiossane West African Dance Institute, C Dance Company for the Arts, Artfluential and others, a list that maps the city's network of Black dance and arts groups. Thanksgiving weekend timing makes it a good outing for visiting family who want something rooted in Columbus.
