Resch's has been baking since 1912, when the family pooled money to build its first bakery on East Livingston Avenue, and by the 1960s it had moved into the 4061 E Livingston Ave building. Its newest home is the former Dollar General at 150 N Hamilton Rd in Gahanna, which gives production and retail far more room. The donut case is headlined by a supersized glazed the shop calls The Big Boy, and pumpkin donuts arrive in fall. Hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
