Ron Holmes Eclecticism at Natalie's Grandview

Columbus bassist Ron Holmes leads Eclecticism on Charlie's Stage at Natalie's Grandview at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Holmes is best known as the bandleader of fo/mo/deep, the jazz fusion collective he has steered since 2007, and Eclecticism is where he chases Afro-beat, funk, soul, and groove with a bigger band.

The group carries a horn section, Afro-Latin and African-influenced percussion, and a guitarist who leans on blues and funk, so the sound lands closer to the large 1970s groove bands than a jazz trio. Holmes released the Eclecticism album Vibes and Tribes on February 6, 2026, and this set is a good chance to hear that material live. His fo/mo/deep catalog includes Syzygy from 2019 and The Groovy Goodness from 2014.

Charlie's Stage is the smaller room at the King Avenue venue, and dinner service continues during the show.
