Lilli Lewis plays Charlie's Stage at Natalie's Grandview on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.
Lewis grew up in Athens, Georgia, and is now based in New Orleans. She trained as a classical pianist and opera singer, and her songs move freely among folk, jazz, gospel, blues and Americana. She records for Ani DiFranco's Righteous Babe label, has been featured by NPR Music and Rolling Stone, and has performed at the Kennedy Center and New Orleans Jazz Fest, with the Louisiana Philharmonic, and alongside the Indigo Girls.
Off stage she has helped reshape conversations about who gets heard in roots music. She is a former vice president of an independent label and founded the Black American Music Summit for Folk Alliance International. Her motto is "Practice Radical Decency," and the warmth carries into her shows, which mix humor, two decades of songs and a voice built for opera houses.
