The 13th annual Columbus Tribute to The Last Waltz takes over Newport Music Hall, 1722 North High Street, on Saturday, November 21, 2026, with doors at 7:00 p.m. WCBE presents the all ages show.
The Last Waltz was The Band's farewell concert, staged on Thanksgiving night in 1976 at Winterland in San Francisco and later released as Martin Scorsese's concert film. Its parade of guests, including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Muddy Waters, and Van Morrison, is what makes it fun to recreate: a large house band plays The Band's songs, and a rotating cast steps up to cover each guest's moment.
The tribute has become a Thanksgiving week ritual in Columbus, landing the Saturday before the holiday. Expect The Weight, Up on Cripple Creek, and The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, along with a crowded finale on stage.
