Contemporary Theatre of Ohio opens Jonathan Spector's Eureka Day on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. in Studio Two Theatre at the Riffe Center downtown. Allie Moss directs. The play won the 2025 Tony Award for Best Play and follows a proudly progressive California elementary school as a mumps outbreak turns a polite board meeting into an argument no one can settle.
Spector writes the comedy as a clash over how a community decides what counts as truth when every parent arrives with a different set of facts. Performances continue through November 22, 2026, with evening shows and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are sold through CAPA for the full run.
Studio Two is one of the Riffe houses along South High Street near the Statehouse lawn. The satire runs tight, so this is a good pick if you want downtown theatre that leans funny rather than solemn.
