Folk songwriter Dar Williams plays songs from Hummingbird Highway and her long catalog at Woodlands Tavern on November 19, 2026.
Dar Williams has a Thursday, November 19, 2026, date at the tavern with a 7:00 p.m. start, an all-ages show and one of the bigger folk names on the room's fall calendar.
Williams has been a fixture of the singer-songwriter circuit since the 1990s, known for wry, closely observed songs about family, place, and faith. Her 13th album, Hummingbird Highway, came out on Righteous Babe Records in September 2025, produced mostly by Ken Rich. The title track is sung from the point of view of a child talking to a parent who is always on the road, a theme that suits a writer who has spent decades touring small rooms.
She is also an author, with books about how small towns revive their main streets and about the craft of songwriting, and that curiosity tends to show up in the stories she tells between songs. Expect older favorites next to the newer material in a seated, attentive room.
