Prixys African Restaurant Files for Full Liquor Permit
The West African kitchen on Kathy Run Lane in Northland has a new D-5 application on the city's weekly liquor notice. Status: Permit filed; restaurant already open.

Prixys African Restaurant has applied for a full liquor permit at its dining room on Kathy Run Lane in Northland. A new D-5 application for Prixys African Restaurant LLC at 5742 Kathy Run Lane, permit number 07184368-1, appears on the City Clerk communications notice dated October 7, the weekly roster of state liquor filings that Columbus City Council can review.
D-5 is the class most full-service restaurants hold in Ohio. It covers spirits, beer, wine and mixed drinks served on site. The clerk lists this one as a new filing, not a transfer from a previous holder. Its advertise date is October 10 and its return date is October 20, the stretch in which the city can send an objection to the Ohio Division of Liquor Control before the state decides.
The restaurant is already serving. Its own website features jollof rice, waakye, banku with tilapia, fufu with light soup, egusi, beef and chicken suya, kelewele, and attieke with red pepper snapper, and it books private events and catering. The filing does not say when drinks would join the menu, and approval rests with the state, so treat this as paperwork for now.
