Seven items other newsrooms reported this week that we are watching. Each one stays here, with a link to the original story, until the business, a permit or a government page confirms it.

  • Roswell's on Grandview Avenue - The Record and 614NOW say a UFO-themed burger and sandwich counter takes over the Blackbird Burrito spot inside Woodland's Backyard at 668 Grandview Ave., with a grand opening Sunday, October 11 and regular service from Tuesday, October 13. The Woodland's Backyard site still shows Blackbird. The public bio on the Roswell's Instagram describes a new kitchen from the Blackbird Kitchen team inside Woodland's Backyard, but no post we can read confirms the dates.
  • Sbarro at Tanger Outlets Columbus - WhatNow puts the Sunbury opening at October 15, while ABC6 and others point to December. Neither the Tanger store directory nor Sbarro's own news page lists the Sunbury counter yet.
  • The Slice in Worthington - 614NOW describes a golf and sports simulator spot serving pizza at 121 W. Wilson Bridge Rd. in Worthington Gateway, aiming for this fall. Its sign package went to the Worthington Architectural Review Board on October 8, and we have not seen a posted decision. The Slice's own site still says only that it opens in fall 2026.
  • Enchantea and Tea After Dark - The Bethel Road tea bar reopening keeps circulating in outlet coverage, but the owner site at enchantealab.com still reads Enchantea 2.0 coming soon, fall 2026.
  • Shaker's Public House kitchen - 614NOW covered a kitchen fire at the Wilson Bridge Road wing bar. The owner site still shows its 2024 relocation copy and kitchen hours, with nothing on the fire or a kitchen reopening.
  • Koffee Paradise on High Street - The Lantern profiles the Filipino coffee shop at 1333 N. High St. It is open, but we still need a usable photo from the owners before it gets an Openings page.
  • Still Rising in German Village - 614NOW writes up the Grant Avenue micro bakery and its Saturday sellouts. We have not found an owner site or account we can cite.

Anything that firms up moves to a full page under Openings or Closings. Older tips sit on What we're reading, and nearby spots are on our Grandview and Worthington pages.
