Nashmi Jordanian Shawarma Coming to Former Graeter's Spot on Bethel Road

Bethel Road is adding a Jordanian street-food counter to a familiar corner. Nashmi is preparing its first Ohio location at 2503 Bethel Road, the bay that once held a Graeter's Ice Cream shop and later a Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio ReStore, according to reporting from 614NOW and Hoodline.
The brand opened its flagship in the Chicago area in 2025 and is pushing a national expansion from its Palos Hills, Illinois base. Columbus gets the first Ohio stop, sitting across from Carriage Place and next to Meadow Park Church on the northwest corridor. No public opening date or hours have been announced yet.

The building's Graeter's-to-ReStore history means the strip already knows foot traffic; Nashmi swaps ice cream and thrift for spit-roasted meat and warm bread.
