Pirates of the Caribbean Outdoor Movie at Great Southern

Great Southern Metro Park (125 Williams Road) turns its lawn into a free outdoor theater on Friday, October 2, 2026, when Metro Parks screens Pirates of the Caribbean. The listing puts the evening at 7:30 p.m., with the movie rolling once dusk settles over the South Side fields.

Bring a blanket or a low chair and treat it like a neighborhood picnic that happens to include cannon fire and Johnny Depp’s swagger. Great Southern’s open space keeps the crowd from feeling packed against a fence, and kids can fidget without wrecking anyone’s sightline.

Park once near the event center, claim a patch of grass early if you want front-row turf, and plan a Thermos of cocoa for the second half when the air cools.
