The New Albany Symphony Orchestra opens a sensory-friendly Inside the Music morning at the McCoy Center (100 W. Main Street, New Albany) on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. CAPA lists the program under an hour, with violinist Isabelle Durrenberger and works by Fanny Mendelssohn, Florence Price, and Jennifer Higdon.

These concerts are built for families with restless littles and for listeners in autism, dementia, or Alzheimer’s communities who want live orchestra sound without a rigid hush. House lights stay kinder, and the runtime respects attention spans.

Park at the McCoy lot and treat New Albany’s Main Street as your coffee stop before the downbeat.
